Sands Motel

The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They were extremely helpful & understanding. The rooms are clean, spacious and nice. I had no issues with pests of any kind. This is a nice quiet and safe place to stay. I recommend The Sands Hotel if you need a room for the night or by the week. Rates are very reasonable.

Clean clean cool spacious rooms with full size kitchen and gas stove. Plenty of storage room and cabinets. Pleasant and friendly staff always willing to accommodate. Also laundromat available on premises. I have had a very pleasurable stay and will come back recommend to all.

I love the new owners. They are great people and they do an great job at making sure your satisfied. Plus they have been putting money into their place to make it a bit more up to date. Im so thankful for these new owners. Awesome family. They were all very welcoming, polite and had manners. This is a decent place if your need a cheap spot to lay your head. I stay here often when i need a break from my crowded home. I recommend them if your on a budget. And if you have any issues speak to the owners. They are more then willing to try to help in any way they can. There isnt a bunch of sketchy people hanging outside nothing like that. Unlike the motels across the street. Smh. I've never seen any sign of critters or bugs of any kind. No bedbugs nothing like that. And like i said little by little ive seen the new owners are putting money to update the motel. Thanks

Was a good experience great rooms just couldn't use the oven but overall it was a good motel they are cheap

I have lived at the motel for a year it has been a very pleasant experience management and staff have been great the motel is very clean and bug free residents are very friendly couldn't have been a more pleasant experience I would definitely live here again

Good motel to stay at. The family that runs it are really nice people. I stayed about 13 days or so and it's in a really good location for the price and what it is. Pros: Location (nicer end of Austin Hwy), friendly staff, quiet overall, not all of it has a 2nd floor above. Some of it is 1st. Any concerns you have they address it whatever it is. Good cleaning staff. I also see they get old fridges out and replace them in other rooms.. not mine but in another I saw them taking out a bad fridge. Cons: Electrical sockets . There's only like 2-3 max per room and the AC and fridge takes up the whole 2 sockets in each one. Not one by the bed. For best results I recommend a 1-2 week stay.

I like staying at the Sands Motel. The managers and the people that stay here are friendly. Plus it's close to places to where you need to go. Walking or riding the bus. It's also very quiet

Peaceful, quiet, and awesome location. I have been here over a month now. I work for HEB and found myself needing a place to stay. I have been very happy here. management and family are very kind and helpful. so many awesome places in this location to visit, eat and shop, it's a perfect spot for a affordable vacation stay. I would recommend the sands to anyone in a pinch or simply for a good vacation in the city.
